About the Course

About the Monday Meditation Series

In this 8-week course, Johanna will share foundational meditation skills for developing a daily practice including the body scan, visualization, breathing techniques, developing anchors of awareness, and noting.

These skills will also be integrated with methods for bringing mindfulness to your daily life. Participants will be encouraged to engage in a weekly practice that involves using the techniques introduced in class and bringing mindful moments to their daily life.

Fall Course: 9/25/23 – 11/13/23

Classes will be each Monday from 6:00PM – 7:00PM at the Grasse River Wellness Studio on Main Street in Canton.

Registration Information

Investment: $175 per person.

Drop-in: $25 (based on space availability)

The class will be limited to 8 participants to ensure an intimate and personalized learning setting.

Meditation is the practice of focused awareness achieved through regular practice and supported with various techniques designed to train the mind. An ongoing practice of regular meditation can bring a sense of inner peace, calm, and balance. It can produce a state of deep relaxation that may reduce anxiety and stress and enhance mood and healthy sleep patterns and focus.

About Mindfulness

Mindfulness encourages the acceptance of the present moment as it presents itself without judgement or the attempt to change anything. Meditation, along with other skills, can support mindful living. Mindful living can reduce the tendency to respond to events, people, and circumstances in a reactive manner while instead inviting us to respond with intention, attention, and awareness.
